Citizen Dialogue Concluded, Praise of People's Representative in Dialogue Program

Banke. Banke's Nepalganj sub-metropolitan ward no. 4 citizen dialogue program has been completed .

With the support of Nepalgunj 4 and organized by Youth Today Media Network Pvt. Ltd A citizen dialogue program on the participation of citizens in the development of 4 has been completed. The program was organized with the objective of collecting complaints and suggestions from the citizens for the flow of public services from the ward.

At the program, ward chairperson Mohammad Safiq Behna informed that the service was being provided to the general public in an accessible manner. He said that no one has the right to immediately resolve the grievances and problems of the common people and to delay the work of the citizens.

Elisha Khatri, a local who participated in the dialogue program, said that the work done in ward no. 4 was better than other wards and urged the people's representatives to focus on waste management.

Dharma Raj KC, a participant of the program, said that the ward was at the forefront of development work. He urged the people to supply electricity to Annapurna toll road.

Uma Gauchan had said that the relationship between the people and the people's representatives was good. Dropati Bisht said that the road that has to be filled with water before the local election has become a pitch road due to the activism of the people's representatives after the local election. He said that the road of Surji village connected to the bus park was incomplete and urged to focus on its completion. He said that more than 80 percent development has been completed in the ward. He further added that we have not only got the people's representatives but also God.

Dozens of people including Sila Singh Sijapati and Shobha Thapa had questioned the people's representatives in the dialogue program.

Responding to a question from the people, Behna said that she was serious about the fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the constitution, other provisions included in the constitution, people's rights, women's rights, rights of dalits, etc.

Chairperson Behna urged the employees not to delay the work of the people and to tell them directly if there are any errors and complaints in the flow of public services.

At the program, ward member Indira Shahi thanked the people for serving them and said that they would work towards solving the problems in the ward. 

Similarly, ward member Mainka Baidya clarified about the work done by the ward during the time of Corona. Ward member Jayapatra Kori, on the other hand, said that they would move ahead by accepting the suggestions and advice given by the common people towards the ward.

Ward Secretary Raj Kumar Karki said that the suggestions from the citizen level have helped in the development of the ward and rectification of the shortcomings so far. Secretary Karki had expressed his commitment to solve the problems of the people in collaboration with the people's representatives. The participants of the program termed the ward chairperson Behna as a courageous ward chairperson who dared to listen to the direct complaints and problems of the common people.

The program chaired by Youth Today Media News correspondent Sonali Gupta was attended by RPP leader Rabi Burma, journalist Chandra Bohara, ward members, staff, representatives of political parties, general public, police and journalists.
